Catholic Certificate of Religious Studies
The Catholic Certificate of Religious Studies is a blended-learning course that introduces students to the basics of the Catholic faith. It runs through a series of intensive study days combined with online classroom teaching. It is a little more demanding than the Diocesan Certificate of Catholic Studies.
Modules for Academic Year 2020/2021
The Old Testament
This module explores the variety of literature used in the Bible, will consider how we came to have the Bible in the current format and will explore the interconnection between the Old and the New Testaments.

The Person of Christ *
This module is designed to deepen participants’ awareness of the significance and centrality of the person and work of Jesus Christ. We will be looking at the daily life of Christians as well as the worship of the Church.

The Sacraments *
This module focuses on understanding and appreciating sacraments in the life of Catholics as a sign of Christ’s continuing presence within the Church.

The Church
This module reflects on the nature of the Church and its mission in the world today.
