Sr Justina is from Nigeria. She studied the BA (Hons) in Christian Theology.
I am a religious nun with the Augustinian Sisters of the Mercy of Jesus in Shuwa, Maiduguri diocese, Nigeria. I am a primary school teacher by profession.
I came to know about the Institute through Sr. Mary Carmel Gill, the superior of my Order in Park House, Liverpool, who visited us in Shuwa. I told her of my interest in studying theology; she promised to search for a theological college for me in the UK when she returned. True to her word, she found the college, and a year later the admission letter was sent to me from Margaret Beaufort Institute with an offer to study the BA Hons in Christian Theology with Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
I arrived at the Institute in 2008 and am now a second year student hoping to finish next year, by God’s grace. Studying at the Institute has been wonderful, with the Principal and all the staff so committed to their work and attending to each student’s need. The hospitality of the Institute is very special, and I always long to return when I go away for a few weeks or months!
Studying at the Institute met all my expectations and I am grateful to the Principal, Dr Susan O’Brien, Dr Oonagh O’Brien, Director of Studies, and Dr Anna Rowland, Director of Pastoral Studies, for their tireless support and encouragement.
