Postgraduate Diploma in Theology, Ministry and Mission

Postgraduate Certificate in Theology, Ministry and Mission

Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology, with the Cambridge Theological Federation, is very excited to be planning new taught postgraduate courses, through our validating relationship with the University of Durham. This Masters is intended to offer post-graduate and post-experience courses, to consolidate theology already developed at undergraduate level or in professional and volunteer contexts.

“After over 15 years in ministry, I decided to take stock of my experiences with a refresher course, and I thank the Institute for giving me the opportunity to study for an MA in Pastoral Theology.”

Sr Genoveva Dumay RSG

This Masters programme builds on previous experience, whether at undergraduate level or through professional expertise, to develop a broad-based overview of theologi- cal disciplines and gives the opportunity to specialise through independent project and placement based work. Modules include research methods, theological reflection, Biblical studies and hermeneutics, doctrine and philosophy, history and inter-faith themes.
This programme also offers flexible exits for fewer modules with awards of the Post- graduate Certificate and the Postgraduate Diploma in Theology Ministry and Mission. Teaching is largely Cambrige-based, with some distance-learning options, and some modules taught residentially in blocks.
